Title I-C
The Migrant Education Program, funded through Title I, Part C, helps students whose families move for seasonal or temporary work in agriculture, dairy, or fishing. Moving often can interrupt learning, and this program helps students catch up, keep up, and graduate.
Who Qualifies?
A child or youth ages 3 through 21 may qualify if, within the last three years, they or their parent or guardian moved to find or take temporary or seasonal work in agriculture, dairy, or fishing.
Melba School District runs its own Migrant Education Program. Families are identified through a short, confidential interview with our Migrant Liaison, Astrid Day. If you think your family may qualify, please contact her.
